Surgery

Since I've had surgery to remove my gallbladder I've had to take a break from exercise. Not that I was doing much before surgery. Although I've been up and moving around some after surgery. I read that this helping you recover quicker. So the day after surgery I walked as much as I could stand around the house. I've been getting stronger and stronger each day. Still trying not to over do it though. I haven't done much walking outside the house. Just to the car and into the gas station to get my papers for coupons LOL. If you know me well you know I'm not missing my newspapers!
Anyway, once I have my follow up appointment I plan to get back to at least walking.

2012 here we go!

I've been HORRIBLE! I've got to get back on track. I've got to figure out how to get exercise back into my schedule. I was homeschooling my oldest which worked out perfect because I would go exercise during nap time and she would watch her siblings during nap so I could work out. I've put her back in public school which means no sitter during nap time:(

Now my oldest is wanting to lose weight and get in shape, so I need to help her with this. Got to figure out a way to get it so we both get in exercise.

One good thing is that I've only gained a few ozs since falling hard off the wagon. With all the holiday goodies I thought for sure I had gained weight. So thankful that I didn't gain a ton of weight.

Now to figure out some sort of schedule and get myself back on track! I'm coming back people get ready!!!!

Fell off the wagon

I've fallen off the wagon so hard. I've not been exercising or doing Weight Watchers for almost 3 weeks now. Sept 16th was the last day I wrote in my journal. I've been SO stressed out that it's not even funny. Really too much and too personal to go on my blog, butt's just been more than I can handle.
I'm now not only homeschooling my oldest but I'm now homeschooling my second oldest. I'm having a hard time adjusting my schedule. Yesterday was the first day I've excersised in I don't know how long. I did 1.6 miles and 25 squats.
One challenge I've decided to do for myself is 25 squats a day until the New Year! I'm going to try my hardest to get back to the gym and get to walking/biking again. I need to add more though. I want to get this weight off.
I have to remind myself all the time that I didn't put it on overnight and it's not going to come off overnight. I know that I'm doing good when I eat right and excerise, but it's so hard for me. I'm having a really hard time balancing everything.
I really need a workout buddy!

New Goals

I’ve rewritten my goals after talking to my trainer.
July 5th starting weight 228
August 7th Goal 220 August 7th weight 221.2
September 4 Goal 212 September 4th weight 211.6 (YES)
October 9th Goal 204
November 6th Goal 196
December 4th Goal 188
January 8th Goal 180
February 5th Goal 172
March 4th Goal 164
April 8th Goal 156
May 6th Goal 148
June 3rd Goal 140
Here’s the thing though. I keep finding different “healthy” weight ranges for my height. Web MD says 115-154 (115 I’d be sick looking). Weight Watchers says 124-155. They aren’t too different. I’m thinking of going with Weight Watchers since that’s the program I’m actually doing. The day I went into labor with my first daughter I was 156. The day I went home from having my daughter I was 135. I’m having a really hard time setting a goal weight.

September challenge

I've decided that each month I should set up some sort of a challenge for myself. Just for the heck of it. I saw that one of my friends was doing a 100 mile challenge, so I thought that sounds like a good challenge. So for this month I'm going to try walking/biking 100 miles for the month of September.

So far this month (yes, I know it's only the 2nd) I've done 2 miles. 98 miles to go:)

I have another friend that is doing 100 squats per day for 100 days. I tried, I really did, I'm just not there yet. I tried breaking it down and doing 25 here and 25 there, just didn't work. I've tried doing 50 at a time and that didn't work for me either. Maybe I'll start off slow and do 50 a day and then work my way up.

Next month is going to start the really hard months. We've got two birthday's in my family next month. Halloween, Thanksgiving, 2 more birthdays, Christmas, New Years, 2 more birthdays, Valentine's day, and then 2 more birthday's, Memorial Day, and then I'll hit summer again and get a break for the month of June! I love cake! I love Thanksgiving and Christmas and all the yummy goodies that come along with those holidays! It's going to be rough!

Workouts this week!

For some reason it seems like the past two weeks I've had a hard time working out on Monday's. Here is what I did this week.

Tuesday~walked 1.33 miles (then came home and we had an earthquake)

Wednesday~walked 1.60 miles, biked 3.11

Thursday~ walked 1.61 miles, biked 3.16 miles

Friday~walked 1.78 miles, biked 3.5 miles, 100 squats

I joined a challenge to do 100 squats a day for 100 days. We shall see how this goes. I'm going to give it my best though. Gotta get my booty and legs in shape:)

This week as been a really stressful, heartbreaking week. Today I decided that I was going to go to the gym and try to work out some stress. It helped for the most part. I'm sure my weight will probably show my stress this week. Although I'm really proud of myself for not stress eating. Instead I tried to sweat out my stress! I hope the scale shows a move down this week, but we shall see on Sunday morning!

I've decided to add updated pictures for every 10 pounds I lose. Last week I hadn't lost 10 pounds now I've lost 13.8 pounds. I'm thrilled almost 14 pounds gone! Here are some before and after pictures.

My daughter took some close up pictures this time around. I don't know if I can tell a difference in the pictures but I can tell a difference in my clothes! Looking forward to doing measurements next month and the next set of pictures!
